I love you Henry bird

Hey yall, please pray for me and my loft this week. last saturday I lost my favorite pigeon, Henry .I got him last spring and he was my oldest kept bird. He was extremely loyal to the loft and his flock. I don't really know where to go from here. He was the dominant cock. I think I'm going to just keep fancy birds from here on. I am tired of loseing homers to the hawks in the area. henry was the 3rd victum this year. I am realy depressed about this, so please no criticism about how I should not have let him out during this time of the year. I have learned my lesson. And I will always love all birds-even my neighborhood hawks. I would love to restart that day though. Thank you guys.

I'm so sorry I can't seem to upload pictures here on this thread, but I do have pictures of Henry bird on my profile. thanks again. -Steven Romo

I'm so sorry columbia livia about your henry.

Just wanted you to know I think the pictures have to be approved first before than can be uploaded on here. I could be wrong. But I do know that all messages posted have to be approved first on this section of the site.

Again so sorry. Its never easy losing a bird. But you have pictures of him to remind you of a great bird he was to you and your loft. min

Oh I'm so sorry you lost Henry.
That's why I can't let my birds free fly - I'd be worried sick all the time. I know there safe and sound in their loft and flight cage.
Even my little escapee that got out this summer and came back after 2 days has made NO attempt to get out again. I really don't think they mind being confined - smart birds.
Again, I'm so sorry.

So sorry for the loss of Henry bird. It's really tough to lose one like that. My sincere condolences.

hey yall I don't know if I made a duplicate copy of this thread on accident or what, but I am just now seeing these replies. Thank you so much everyone! I would never have been able to care for him as well as I did if it wasn't for this website and the loving care and information I have received since i joined. thank you all for the encouragement! it really helps.
