I love you, Squidget!Squidget was a very special bird! He never had a chance in life, but he fought hard to stay alive, and made the best out of what little quality of life he had! He could not walk! He could not fly! But he had a heart of gold! He was medicated, had his legs and feet taped, was x-rayed, biopsed, and medicated some more!
Then there came the day, that I had to make the desision for him, because he did not want to give up! He is now flying with the angels and walking with God! Please don't forget him! I never will!

We'll never forget your lil boy, the short time he was with us was enough to touch all our hearts. Even though I never got to know him up close and personal like you did Denise he has a special place in my heart....I'll miss you Squidget!

You have provided incredible support for your little buddy. The journey you two traveled has been an inspiration for all of us. I am sorry for your loss. Now he is at peace and flying free.

Little Squidget was a wonderful inspiration to us all, and brought something that I will always treasure. Thank you for all your loving care and concern for this little creature. I feel I can thank you, for though these pigeons belong to none of us, they belong to themselves, yet they belong to all of us, and we to them, in some ways. Squidget DID have a chance in life, Denise, & you were the one who gave it to him. I am so sorry that your sweet little Squidget is gone from you. You were blessed by his presence, & he was blessed by having you for his caretaker. I know I will never forget him, or your loving devotion to him. Thank you for everything you did to try to help that sweet little bird. It's great to think of Squidget's condition now ~ absolutely perfect! May God give you strength & comfort. Phyll

Denise, again, thank you for all you did to make Squidgets life as comfortable as you could. I wish that every pigeon fancier who has birds that they don't think are worth thier time could have just a fraction of an ounce of compassion that you showed this little bird. There is a lesson to be learned here by all. Squidget...........where ever you are, you enjoy the freedom that you loving Mom has given you.............you deserve it.

Denise, love to you and love to Squidget.
Those of us who have been with you and Squidget throughout his life will never forget either of you. Pete, that picture speaks a thousand words. Thank you so much for posting it so newer members can see what a doll Squidget was. I hate to cry first thing.
