Lost LadyBird todayDang-it!
When I arrived home from work today and went to the loft to clean, I found LadyBird had died sometime during the day and as dead on the floor of the loft. My other birds all look fine and there was no visible damage to the loft, so I don't think a predator got in and checking around outside showed no tracks and I think if it had been a predator that got into the loft there would have been more then one dead bird. There was a wound, however, on her neck which makes me feel unsure of whether it was just old age, she was 15, or maybe it was really something that got to her. Rat maybe? As they can squeeze in through the smallest of openings. Anyway, kind-of bummed right now.

so sorry to hear about your loss, and i know how hard it can be even if you have 100 birds there is always that 1 that is special that stands out, but all are loved equal and it's just as hard to loose any of them. and i may say she was a beautifuly marked bird R.I.P. ladybird
