Thanks for the comments. I have been raising pigeons and birds since I was like 5 or 6. My goal is to keep at least one of every type of domesticated pigeon in my life time. SO far I have raised: Homers, Original American Trentons, Birmingham Rollers, Parlor Rollers, Modenas, Utility Kings, Chinese owls, German owls, American Fantails, Indian Fantails, Show Rollers, Show Racers, Ferals, German Beauties, Jacobins, some mixed, Lahores, Pouters, and Tumblers.

Hi Yellowking - Your Phat Boy was so beautiful. Modenas are one of my favorite breeds. I love his name and he looked like he lived up to it. I'm really sorry that he passed away.
I hope you will continue to post on the forum.

IvoryThis photo was taken 2 days prior to the death of one of my favorite hen. She also died of some sort of respiratory problem. I have 3 birds so far which died from this type of problem. I decided to post her picture up to try to show some of the symptoms. As you can see her wings are held very low. She seems very weak and can barely run. Her tail is held together tightly and does not react or expand at all. She will only walk for a while and then she will have to take a minute or so to catch her breath. She does not have the strength to stand straight up to balance herself. (Ivory, 2003-2005)
