RIP David

Sadly David the mourning dove was struck by an attack on my driveway Friday, August 12th, she was truly love, it hurts my heart so badly to find her feathers all over my driveway yesterday afternoon, I searched and searched for her and she was no where to be found and this morning she was not waiting on the grill cooing for me to come talk to her, I have a big empty space in my heart right now that is throbbing and I just wish this had not happened...Its hard losing something to raised from the very start and its very sad to lose her at such a young age...

I'm very surprised this happened. I thought you were going to keep her.
I know your heart is breaking right now...I know what it feels like and truly, I am very sorry...but if others can lean from your experience with Daveta...this is a classic example of what often happens to hand raised birds that are released.

AAAHHHHWWWWWWWWW!!! Poor Davidddddd so sorry!! I also know how it feels losing a special bird, even after such a short time with them, and send my condolencesss

Thank you all, it means a lot but I'm still so sad, I wanted to keep her in the house so bad but she was so depressed and as soon as I let her outside in the sunshine she quit plucking her feathers and they grew in beautifulfully within a week I swear, she looked like one of heavens angel's...I hope she forgives me for not protecting her...
