RIP PeeweeI'm very up set and sad. My blind pigeon Peewee died today. He was brought to me in 2005 with a bad head trama and both eyes badly infected and sat up with many nights with him nursing him back to health because there was no way I was going to let him die. I pulled him through but left him blind so I knew he would live his life out with me and now he's left me. Peewee was my baby and took him with me alot when I traveled and he loved it. Not many people would take their pigeon with them when they traveled and would bring him in places in a diaper bag and hoped he wouldn't start cooing, he did a couple of times. Even though he was blind he loved to fly in the house or hop up and ride on my foot or shoulder. He was very special to me and loved him so much.

I am so sorry for your loss! Peewee was a lucky little baby to find someone that could give him the extra care and love that he needed. He is able to watch over you now that he can see again. Fly high, Peewee!

I am so sorry for your loss, Mary Ann. I know how much it hurts to loose a special baby.
You gave him the best care and he had a great life. Now your angel Peewee will be watching over you. Reti

Thank you everyone. He was my rescue pigeon that was brought to me in 2005 with a bad head trama and badly infected eyes and thank god for Terry and her help. I don't know how old he was but he got live his life out and was loved so much. RIP my Peewee. You have your sight now, spread your wings and fly free.

Deepest sympathy for loss of Peewee...you should be commended for giving him such a good loving full life. I too have a crippled bird, Peepers(splayed leg) which I adopted. He
has such personality and pep. It is wonderful people on this board care and give much for these wonderful birds.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I know how incredibly hard it is to lose one of those special needy birds, who you rescued and spend so much time with. It is a heartache. God bless you for caring for him. Shi and Maggie are watching over him now.

Sorry for being really late on responding back, but thank y'all. Terry helped me when Peewee was brought to, we talked back and forth on the phone along with sending her pics. I still remember when I called Terry and told her that Peewee was blind and told her how I put my hand in front of him and on his side and made no move to get away from me, that's how I knew he was blind. After all this time I still miss him so much. I burried him in my backyard and go out there and talk to him. I know Shi, feather, and Maggie are taking good care of my Peewee my sweet baby boy up in heaven.
