Romeo now romancing ladies in Heaven....My big special boy Romeo passed away last night. I found Romeo three years ago at the Animal Care and Control in San Francico. He was thought to be a "meat" pigeon(
) escaped from the live animal market in SF. He was huge! All white, with a few spots of brown here and there. When I brought him home, he adjusted very well and had an eye on every female in the flock! His dream came true when Santa brought two sexy, black, fantailed pijies for Christmas one year. I let them out on the bed where he was, and he almost fell off the bed. His eyes lit up, his whole body saying, "TWINS!" He romanced both of them and the three of them lived together day and night until this past year when the twins passed away (they were always delicate and weak birds, I think due to inbreeding and being in a little cage for so long at the pet shop). After they passed away, he began a brief romance with the chicken, who wasn't too sure of that. He even laid on her eggs for awhile, a diligent father. His next wife was a little dark girl, Samantha, who fell under his spell and managed to ignore his roving eye. Their house is a little cat carrier with the door held open, and they made their nest in there and spent most days kissing and preening each other. Romeo was a wonderful big guy with a big heart and plenty of love for all the ladies. He will be greatly missed and I'm sure glad I was lucky enough to have him in my life. ![]()

I'm so sorry for the loss of Romeo, Mary Jane. He was a very handsome fellow, and it sounds like he certainly lived up to his name.

Romeo was a beautiful guy with a befitting name. I had a 2lb Yorkie named Romeo who corted the Great Dane on the corner. He use to go right in their back yard. He was so small he could get through the chain link. I knew the people on the corner would kill me if anything ever happened. When Romeo couldn't be found, I would run to the corner, and there he would be with his girl friend.
I hope the two Romeos meet up. I am sure he is with the twins. Feather |

He sounds like a wonderful pigeon judging by the way he flirted with just about everyone. I'm glad you were able to take him in and give him a good life. I know he's looking down on you and smiling knowing you cared so much for him.
