Sweet dreams Rosie

I was given a pair of squabs, Rosie and Grey, 6 years ago from a member here, Nooti, I'd just started rehabbing and they were my 'guinea pigs' to help me learn crop feeding, my first squabs. They became a pair, I use dummy eggs so there's no babies.
Rosie started breathing heavily last week, I brought her in and started her on anti-biotics and wormed her, but she died 2 days later I have no avian vet to rely on.
A few days before she died I realised I'd missed an egg (an 'oops' baby!) and there was a miniature Rosie sitting in their nest, Rosie was a a very pretty red pigeon, my only red pigeon, I am so pleased now that there's an oops baby, part of Rosie is still here
Miss you Rosie, don't worry about baby, Grey is doing a great job of bringing him/her up
The photo was taken 5 years ago.
