Timmy, love is stronger then deathI lost my dalmatian Timmy on 28 of september 2007, during a short holiday in Spain. He was 13 years and 4 months.
He suddenly suffered a stomach torsion in the middel of the night. We found a vet who was willing to call 2 collegues, they made a long surgery on Timmy, who woke up although they thought he would not survive the narcosis. They let me visit Timmy, and I had the chance to speak words of love, hope and consolation to my dog, who had given me love and consolation for 13 years. I looked in his beautifull dark eyes, not knowing it would be for the last time, and he was shivering. The vets gave me good hope, but told me to let him rest now, not to make him nervous, that they would call me the day after. The next day, at 7.30, they called me to say he had passed away. I still see his eyes in my dreams and I am so sad that I listened to their advice and let him alone in his last hours. But I know Timmy is watching me from his dog heaven, where he met his beloved "grandmother" again who he missed so badly.(my mother, deceased on 18/05/2006) and he still hears me. He always came to "help" when I went to feed the pigeons in Lapalomatriste. My pet pigeon Toto was his best friend, they slept together in my bed. Yesterday I wrote an email to the vet who tried to save Timmy, about the Wellington petition. I looked at Timmy's pic on my desk and and asked him:"Timmy, do you think he cares as much about all animals as he cared for you, trying to save you?" I just looked at the petition now: Hernan Arin, Timmy's vet signed. Timmy, I will always love you. Love is stronger then death. Myriam - you are so right that love is stronger than death! I am so sorry to read about Timmy's passing - especially after all the effort of so many loving professionals to try and save him. Really is heartbreaking. I'm sure Timmy will always be running right beside you and smiling at you. {{{comforting hugs}}}

Timmy is one beautiful dog. I used to have one and he was a BIG baby. I'm sure you miss him, but you can tell he was very loved.

Ah, Myrium, I am so sorry to read of Timmy's passing. He was so beautiful and had a sweet looking face. Your life is richer for having loved him as was his for having loved you.

I, too, join in adding my condolences over Timmy's death. He is such a handsome dog! We know and understand how much he meant to you and how much you miss him. I know he will always be with you in spirit and memory... With love, hugs and comforting thoughts at this sad time... Shi
