Tragic Loss to our Beloved Baby Goose!

How awful and tragic for you and your family to witness such a shocking scene.
Your tribute to baby goose was so sad to read and spoke volumes about the love and fun times you had with baby goose. Having lost special birds myself, I know how sad and upsetting it is to lose them from our lives. I am so sorry that you have the additional pain of losing your bird in such a devastating way.

I find myself returning to this site to overlook my time with Goose. Thank you all for your words, your prayers and your hugs. We have had a hard time adjusting to the loss. Our house is so quiet without him.
I have posted quite a bit here and Baby Goose has a staring roll in a feeding video posted here that I also had on UTube. So I have lots of videos of him. I have video and pictures of his first attempt at flying. I trained him to come when called by shaking a food jar. He loved to perch on my computer screen because of the warmth, and the funniest thing I have ever seen (and also have video of) is goose simply sitting in his water bowl for what seemed like an hour. He was so silly. He would greet us when returning home by sitting with our 4 dogs in our picture window. He would hop from Dog to Dog to get where he was going. He loved to be in whatever room we were in. He loved to check out the fish tanks and tried to bathe in them often. My daughter (21 yrs old) once came home and crawled into our bed while we were working and slept because she was ill, she called in the middle of the day and told me that Goose demanded she wake up because he kept pecking at her hand. He was such a GREAT BIRD! I have so many hours and hours of video of him. Thank you all for understaning our heartache. It seems that there are not too many people in our town that understand how endearing a pigeon is.. .We WERE BLESSED and someday hope to enjoy the life of pigeonism again.
