Terry, when I read the title of this thread, I started to cry. I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved Traveler.
Traveler will always be my hero. His longevity gave me hope for my Jesse.
Traveler was surely blessed to have come into your care. I'm thankful he was blessed with a peaceful death, & that both of you had the opportunity to see each other before he passed.
I am heartbroken for you, Terry. Traveler will never be forgotten on this forum. I am sending you a BIG hug & hope you feel better soon. Please take good care of yourself.

Thanks again everyone. I'm getting to kind of an OK place with the loss of Traveler but still have to cry like a baby when I think of him and post here. That, too, will pass in time. Fanfan seems to be doing fine, so I guess things are as well as could be expected.

Reading about Traveler's passing away fills my heart with sorrow for you, and also with fear for the future. My Toto is already 16, and loosing strength.
We are never prepared to loose the ones we love, and the vacuum they leave in our hearts never fills up again.
You gave Traveler heaven on earth, he is only switching one heaven for another. May he forever fly free, healthy and strong on the other side.

Thank you, Myriam. I so hope your Toto will be with you for many more years to come. It seems with Traveler that is was only in the past few months that he seemed to be slowly becoming an aged pigeon.

I am glad you got to spend a few moments with Traveler before he passed, to remind him of your love for him and to comfort him in his final time on Earth.
