I am so sorry for the loss of sweet little Zipper. It's especially tough to loose a special one this time of year. You provided a wonderful life and I'm sure he appreciated it. You are lucky to have enjoyed his company for so many years. My thoughts and sympathy are with your family during this sad time.

Victor and Bev,

I send my heart felt condolences as well to your family (and especially Bev) over the unexpected loss of Zipper. She was part of your family and seemed to be part of the pigeon talk family for many years now and will be very much missed for sure.

We all feel and understand your sad loss.

I'm sorry to hear about the sudden passing of Zipper. What a sweetie she was! And what a blessing that you were able to save her and give her such a wonderful life, in turn for much amusement and love, I'm sure!

I never had a pet squirrel, but I'm sure they make fine pets. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I'm sure Zipper realized how lucky he was that he found such loving and caring people to look out for him.

Goodbye Zipper.

I missed this post earlier. I am so sorry Victor and Bev to hear of the sudden passing of your beloved Zipper. You gave her a wonderful loving family home to live out her life. She was blessed to have found you when she needed help and she knew how much she was wanted and loved by your family.

Comforting hugs to you all,

Lindi

Words of thanks

Thank you all for your kind words of comfort. The pet kennel that also handles cremations was closed for a couple of days because of Christmas, but we took Zipper in today. They graciously accepted her.

The operator of the place is also involved in wildlife rescue. She was sharing with us a particular black squirrel that she had just rehabilitated and set free. It was somewhat comforting to hear.

Zipper will always be in my memory, along with my dear mother I lost near Labor day and our loyal dog, Sebastian on Thanksgiving eve. It had been a hard 6 months.

Thank you all. You are all so nice.

I will miss Zipper too !!!!! Always being a little jealous that it was you guys that was chosen to keep her instead of me, I knew that she and Bev had the best, and Zipper was right where she was supposed to be. How lucky we were to have known her through your stories and pictures.

Victor & Bev,
I am so sorry to hear about Zipper. She was blessed to be taken in & cared for by you, & you were blessed to have her in your lives.
Bev, I hope being present when Zipper left this world was a comfort to you. All creatures should be blessed with a peaceful death. You were with Zipper & know that she passed peacefully.
Thank you for saving her & providing her with a loving home.
May God bless all of you.

Phyll

So sorry to come upon your post about Zipper.
I hope that you & Bev and your grandsons are feeling much better.
So sad to have that happen during the holidays.
Bless you for saving Zipper from those kids whom I will also remember in prayer.
Glad she went peacefully.
I'm sure she's having great fun and will meet up with you again someday!
