Question

Improving Black?

What is the best way to improve black? Do you just breed selectively for the darker, richer blacks, and try to not breed from birds with bronzing or ashy-type black? As I understand it, black is a blue-base color, so you can in theory use blue birds to breed to black birds, and still get black??? Is that right? But it would take some time to get that really dark, rich black? Thank you!
