** HELP NEEDED ** For NYC Pigeons

Dear members,

There is a pigeon situation in Flushing whereby a pigeon rescuer is facing eviction from her residence because of having a lot of pigeons. The pigeons have been temporarily moved to a safe location in order for the rescuer to have her home inspected next week, but a long term solution has to be found and found quickly.

We desperately need someone in NYC who would be able to transport these birds to a sanctuary near Albany. A group of pigeon lovers are trying to assist with this effort and would be able to pay for gas, meals, etc. for anyone able to get these birds to their forever home.

This same rescuer could also use help from any local pigeon fanciers who would be willing to adopt pigeons from her.

If you are able to help with the transport or by adopting pigeons, please e-mail me privately so I can put you in touch with the person who needs urgent assistance.

Hi All,

Just to close out this thread on a happy note .. 12 pigeons from Flushing NYC left there yesterday afternoon and arrived at my local post office at 6:50 AM this morning. All the birds handled the trip well and are alive and happy to now be Southern California birds.

Thanks very much to everyone who helped with this effort .. it took a long time and was more than a bit frustrating along the way. Still, a very happy ending for the Flushing pigeon rescuer and the birds.
