Anything Better than snap Bands?

I have a group of older Birds that were given to me to start my loft.
I have been using colored and numbered snap bands to mark them.
But now 1 year later the numbers are all but worn off and they tend to unsnap and fall off a bird sometimes.

I do not race yet. I can put solid bands on the babies that are Hatched here.
But is there anything better I can use on my older birds.

Are the coil around band better than the snap bands.
Is there anything that is like the quality of a seamless band that can be put on that will hold up?
