are some pigeon more brainie than others


i have two young birds one with a bit of a fantail and is black and white and one blue bar racer they are both 5 weeks old and am trying to train them to bob wires the blue bar leanrnt it in 1 the fantail still takes its time any reason why?

In my own personal experience.....fantails are like shortbus riders compared to my homers.

Yes, pigeons have different intelligence. Some are smarter than others. For that matter, I think it applies to other animals including us.

i find my roller to be a very smart pigeon,,shes one clever bird,her 2 boyfreinds(yep shes a brazen hussy)are not too smart

Well, I can only hope that none of our members, who may read this, have children who ride on "THE SHORT BUS". This comment could be offensive or hurt someones feelings.

Now, that being said, I think that many of the fancy breeds or pigeons were bred more for their looks than anything else. Then too, some birds just take longer to get used to the bars. Some don't like them.
