would you believe fully feathered,(adult)-first flight at 30 days,mating generally a short time thereafter,,by the time these two squabs take off the parents have already hatched another pair and they are well on their way to hatching,..amazing isn,t it,.sincerely james waller

At 3 months your bird should be flying well already. @ 15 days the bird should be still developing feathers. Mating is dependant on many other factors besides age, like temperature and available mates. What type of bird(s) are we talking about?

i have 1 month 1 week old ybs and there free flying round , so why arent yours flying ???

It has been my experience from watching my birds for many years that they become physically mature after the first month of life-reach full growth and fly at about 6 to 8 weeks of age, and try to play act their rolls in life at about 3 to 4 months of age (when they experiment and play act mating). They are actually sexually mature at six months of age, but make much better parents when they are almost a year old.

Excellent and concise description Meister! However let me just add something, Muslims call Jesus the messiah and believe he will return. The difference is that Muslims do not consider Jesus as being God, but a Prophet of God as Moses and Mohamed were. (Sorry this isn't bird related, just wanted to elaborate a bit on this! )

bhalo acho ami ?.... I also have a similar Q. I have birds that r less than 8 months old [from their eyes color: black] but I have seen them 'billing'...so WHEN do they stat mating?... ~_^....?...also ppl...can u guys explain WHY I have this 1 lil female that refuses to go into the loft?.....she prefers to lay under the loft..all thru the nite...I tried putting her in a seperate cage/small loft...but she insists on sitting under the loft....help any1?....[she is also less than 8 months old-->black eyes...] Peace
