Birds are NOT stupid! Sorry I have to share this little story with you all. I was dusting my birds one at a time and then would hold them out in my hand to fly away, all but one flew up to the highest pertch. One cranky female, She has PMS all the time flew up and behind me. She sat on the table that I dusted them on, and she scooped her wing down and brushed the dust off the table and throw it at me.  I was so suprised I just stood there a moment and she flew up with the rest. I just started to laugh. It was so darn cute and funny. My husband noticed right away I was full of dust and when I told him what happened he just said "Well they're not stupid" I know that but I didn't think they would be so sassy either. But this hen in the Queen of the roost and lets everyone know.

How funny, Nancy! Oh my, of COURSE birds, and especially pijies, are SMART!! Some choose NOT to reveal their intelligence and I don't blame them!! Ever notice that they will DO so, IF they trust the "human?!" Also, notice how they will find just the right person to help them when they are in trouble?!!  Actually, to be honest, I think that WE are low smarts on the totem pole!! Hugs and Scritches Shi
