Coccidiostats

Just looking for some opinions on the best medication for Coccidiosis. I use Sulmet because it's cheap and it can be bought locally at TSC. But I know using the same medicine all the time is not good, so I think it's time for a change. So, which coccidiostat should I choose (and where I can find it)? I heard Corid is pretty good.

Hi Becky,

I have hardly ever had occasion to treat except once, and I used probiotics (almost daily) ACV and garlic caps to get the immune system back up and the good gut bacteria count up. Also, had to hand feed daily but the bird got over it within a week.

Since stress is a big factor and this disease can be seconday infection, always check the bird for another health issue going on.

I switch between Corid and Sulmet. I've actually got a TON of Corid here. If you can't find any, let me know and I'll mail you some. I've got powder (which you CAN'T buy any more) and liquid.
