Do pigeons have a special snack?

Do pigeons have any snack in particular that you could give them as a treat?

I give mine unsalted raw shelled sunflower seeds. But I go easy on how much I give them. They have much protein, they taste great but do add on the calories if you are not careful!I get the large bag in the pet section at Wal~Mart. They call them Sunflower hearts.

Hemp seed
Crisp lettuce

Not exactly a snack, but pickstones which have calcium and minerals - ours love that, crumbled in a dish

Unsalted spanish peanuts is what I use.
I would be careful giving too many sunflower seeds.
They can give the birds the runs.

i have been trying for months to get my birds to like spanish peanuts to no avail!!
tryed putting them in with their feed and they leave them till last! tryed hand feeding to really hungry birds and tryed from babies
