Dove sounds recordings?

Some of you may have read Noddy's story in the sick section - well he/she seems to be improving but doesn't eat by himself and he's very silent so I downloaded some bird songs from the net but I haven't been able to find any dove recordings to stimulate him, he seems to enjoy his cd's . Does anyone know of any laughing dove sounds I can download? I've finally deduced that he's a Senegal/Laughing/Palm dove. Another question, how do you teach a dove to eat on its own?

Thanks in advance.

To teach a young pigeon how to eat, I put the seeds in a deep large bowl, and I "peck" at them myself with my finger.
I just read Noddy's story in the sick section :
http://www.pigeons.biz/forums/f6/bab...p-28939-2.html
(I don't visit the forum very often) and I ask myself if Noddy sees well now, is the problem with her eyes solved? S/he needs to actually SEE you pecking at the seeds to follow the example.
In you last post in the other thread, you asked about putting eggshells in the oven. I know some people give crushed eggshells to their chickens, but for your pigeon what you need to buy is pigeon GRIT and a mineral supplement for the calcium. I saw you are in Egypt, maybe pigeon articles are difficult to find there? Can you find a high protein pigeon mix where you are? You say Noddy is very weak in your other post, I think millet and corn only is not nutritionnal enough to make him/her strong.
Can you post a picture of Noddy?
Other more knowledgable members will soon be here with good advice.

I don't know if what you're looking for is here or not, but there's quite a few sounds of different doves.

Myrpalom thank you for your reply (also thank you for bumping my other post up). I haven't been able to find many resources for pigeons and doves here. I was reading the post on the benefits of garlic and I wasn't able to find any gel caps here either. I read on the net that crushed eggshells are good for pigeons and doves and to be honest I have been giving a little to Noddy for about a week and his legs seem to have improved. They seem less bent and he stands and stretches!

I've also been giving some boiled egg on occasion for protein along with finch seeds, wheat, millet and corn. A vet gave me some yellow powder saying it would help with the eyes and I just started giving it to him so we'll have to wait and see what happens with that.

I will try "pecking" the seeds like you said and I hope he learns to eat. Thanks for the advice One of his eyes are semi-open (which is an improvement), and I'm hoping he will be able to see and learn to eat.

Thanks so much for all your help.

Lovebirds thanks for the link, it has many different dove sounds which I'm sure Noddy will enjoy

Is it natural for doves not to coo? He used to squeak but he's been silent for a while now.

Thanks again!

PS: Lovely dog

I send you a PM with the coordinates of someone who will possibly be able to help finding pigeon ressources in Caïro.
