it is held in NYC central park by pigeon lovers,animal rights activists,musicians,poets and artists,it was originally concieved to remember cher ami the famous ww1 messenger pigeon but was broadened to include all pigeons and doves if you google"national pigeon day 2009" it will tell you more including pics and poems etc,its a great idea,id like it to be international pigeon day,its a nice way to acknwoledge the grace and beauty pigeons bring into our lives
