my blue bar cock and the blue bar white flights hen laid their new eggs again after a month~ the second egg was laid this afternoon~ i just hope the father will do his job properly this time as he didn't sit on the eggs for the first few days of incubation last month.. i went to their nest this afternoon and touch the eggs and they weren't warm... hope the eggs will be fine until they hatch

If he still isn't doing his turn on the eggs, are you able to put them under a foster pair?

no i can't that time since only them and their neighbor had eggs~ their neighbor's eggs didn't make it too because of the same problem with the father

you most likely have two hens.. they won't be fertile..unless one has fooled around with someone in the loft.. so that may be your problem with the sitting..

because you said this.. usually if you get more than two eggs you have two hens paired..... or were just asking about putting more eggs from another pair in one nest?

If both pairs of the eggs are only off by a day in my opinion it should be okay
to set the eggs in. But if it's over a day i would suggest that you not move the
eggs.

why would you do that?.. let each pair sit their two eggs and raise their own babies. If you have to use a foster pair..take THEIR real eggs out and replace with the eggs you want to hatch within 5 days of each pair laying eggs..do not give a pair 4 eggs..that is too much stress to feed 4 if they hatch.. every egg that is layed in your loft does not have to hatch.. esp if you do not have room for all the youngs that will grow to adults and need mates of their own..preferably unrelated, if you let all those new birds hatch all their eggs..so on and so on.. and it continues.. untill you get some control over your hatching eggs... usually people breed with a purpose in mind..what is yours besides making more pigeons?

'removing both eggs from a pair(where the father don't do the incubation properly) replacing with fake eggs and moving their real eggs to another incubating pair and when they hatch they'll be back to their true parents' in my mind^^
