Is this an ok feed mix for my birds?

I was just wondering if this was an ok thing to be feeding my birds. I've had pigeons for awhile and i've always fed them on the pigeon feed i get from my local feed store. however I was getting low on feed and i waited to long to get a new bag, so when i went to my feed store they were completely out of pigeon food, and weren't expected to get any in for about a week. So the man told me he had pigeons as well, but he didn't use any pigeon food. what he does is he uses duck pellets and whole corn, puts in 75% corn, and 25% duck pellets. I was kind of out of options so i bought it. they seem to be doing fine on it and it was alot cheaper for me. i have bought there regular food back and give it to them about twice a week. but should they be fine on the duck pellets and corn? is that healthy?

well. pigeons do need a mix of seeds. they will get fatter with pellets and pure corn. and fly less. so in my opinion, i do not approve of your feed.

I am by no means an expert on feed or even a novice but all that corn sounds pretty intense to me. I agree with ughpaolo about them getting fatter based on the corn. Many people feed their flyers straight pellets, however that is pigeon pellets...
What is the protein, fat, and fiber of the duck pellet?

If you are going to use a pellet then I would use as close to a pigeon as possible.. they do have pigeon pellets.. turkey and chicken..and gamebird pellets.. those birds need more protein.. if you use the duck then one that is 14 to 16 % protein will be better. and of course using it to fill in will be fine..but it is up to you if you want to use it all the time.
