LAPC Lawn Show Coming Up ..

Hi All,

The Los Angeles Pigeon Club Young Bird Lawn Show is just around the corner .. September 16, 2007. This is a fun show and there should be several of our Pigeon-Talk members attending as visitors as well as several members actually showing birds. Here's a link with more information: http://www.google.com/calendar/event...e331f8b1903762

The website for the Los Angeles Pigeon Club is: http://www.lapigeonclub.com.

It sure is coming right up. My Rosie(a red bird that Terry cared for when I had problems with feeding her as a squeaker) is moulting like crazy. She has only pin feathers on her whole neck and half a tail! I told her today that she has to hurry up and finish this moult so she will look beautiful for the young bird lawn show. I'm almost holding my breath that she will unfurl in time. She looks really ultra ratty right now and Popcorn, with any luck will not moult and be eligible for the squeaker class. It's a cliffhanger here!

Here's hoping Rosie will be ready for the show and that Popcorn holds out on the moult! I'm looking forward to seeing you and your birds at the show, Margaret. I suspect George, Rena, and Debbie will also have birds entered in the show, and if not, will at least be there. I hope there are some other Southern California members who can make it to the show.

Terry

I'm looking forward to seeing you there, George, and to seeing your beautiful birds. I've never seen a Saddle Homer in person, so that will be a treat for me!

George,

Am really looking forward to seeing your birds. Like Terry, I haven't seen a saddle homer in person.

Okie Dokie! We've got quite a few So Cal members coming to this show tomorrow .. should be great fun!

Our P-T members, George, Margarret, Rena, and Debbie, are showing as far as I know. Myself, Firstimer, Fallenweeble, Kristall, perhaps Kippermom, and others will also be there. If anyone in So Cal can make it to the show, please do. You will love the park, the birds, and also get a chance to meet the local P-T members and a whole bunch of other pigeon people.

I didn't get the washing done, but I'll still be wearing jeans (those will be clean) and my Muscovies Rule shirt (probably clean but at least presentable if not )

Might even bring a Muscovy .. we'll see how adventurous I feel in the AM!

Terry,

Ya gotta bring the duck! After all, s/he goes with the tee shirt. Whee, today is the show and the weather has cooled a bit. Should be glorious. I'm only bringing three birds. They looked great until a few days ago. Rosie managed to crack three flights, new ones, and they oozed blood so now she has these crusted flights on one wing. Popcorn started moulting about four days ago and looks like a half drowned rat. I hope the judges are lenient.

Am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you PT folks.
