Latest picts of Mel & Misty...It's day 32 and here they are! This first one is of Mel, he's doing really great! Walking alot better this past week and actually straightening out that joint more, so I'm thinking his legs are getting stronger, which is such happy news to me!
His body weight is almost the same as Misty's now, she's ahead of him in feather development, but he's getting there.

Izzy,
These photos of your two young lovelies are not only beautiful, but in my opinion, a miricle. I remember reading your first thread that you had recieved two newly hatched young and thinking...boy, these guys are just not going to make it. Boy, did you prove me wrong!!

Terri: Yes, I continue to be amazed and relieved on a daily basis with Mel. He's really the trooper and has already been through so much for being just a month old. Thank you also. Hanie: Mel & Misty are city pigeons aka, Ferals. I'm actually not sure if that is a breed or not, I think it's a mix of breeds, but I'm just guessing. Cynthia told me awhile back that they are decendents of the Rock Dove. I'm always postings pics, so keep watching, lol! Cynthia: I'm sooo glad they are different colors, or else, with Mel growing so much lately, it would very difficult for me to tell them apart, lol! I can't wait until I see more colors and will definitely keep posting picts so you can see the change with me. Jerry: Your first thoughts were very similiar to mine! I had NO idea of what I had gotten myself into and honestly, I've learned soooo much about pigeons in this past month, it's quite amazing, lol! Again, finding this board was a Godsend for me. I don't know if Mel & Misty would be here today if not for all the help I received here. I still can't believe they are the same little chicks that came here so cold and lifeless. It's amazing how much I've grown as I've watched them develop. Everyone should be so lucky to witness the miracle of life, such as I've been able too. Izzy
