THANK YOU, FEATHER, for posting the loving informative note from Maggie's niece. I know you thanked her for us. At least we have some closure of what happened. Unfortunately, sadness and grief are still with us.

Cindy, that was a magnificnet tribute! I can see Maggie greeting new birdie and animals arrivals over the Rainbow Bridge. Her work is never done and she is absolutely perfect as the welcome greeter!

There are going to be a LOT of pigeons named Maggie! The pigeon my friend found in her backyard and brought over to me is so named.

Linking with ALL my family site members to pay tribute to our beloved Maggie we will always remember.

Sending Love and Hugs to Maggie's family members and especially, Lewis. My heart goes out to him at this sad time.

Shi

OMG I just saw this thread! I'm in shock also. Maggie was one of the nicest people I met here on PT. I don't know what to say - I lit a candle for her.
I'm sure she's working alongside Saint Francis.

Dear Linda, My Aunt had a brain aneurysm one evening and so they sent her to surgery. The testing afterward showed no brain function . After getting in touch with everybody her husband Lewis had the life support discontinued. She had no idea what happened to her. Our family was so amazed at the out pouring from the online community for Betty. I have thought about taking letters from our family and her friends and putting together a book for Lewis. He is and always has been such a good guy and they loved each other very much. I remember so well the day they got married and that was over 50 years ago. If someone else would like this info on Betty feel free to let them know. I hope you are doing OK and I am so glad that Betty and you were there for each other.

Cindy, your poem is heartfelt and beautiful.

I hope some of the questions that we have all been pondering were answered this evening

Feather, I am grateful you shared with us the reason she left this earth of ours. She would be so proud of you. You are a dear friend of hers indeed and I bet she is smiling down upon you.

Terry

I have been thinking about this photo all day at work.I knew there was one posted, but it saved us much time in looking at hundreds of pictures. Thank you Terry. I am happy you found it.I took the liberty of saving it.

Thank you for the beautiful tribute to Maggie, Cindy.
I was thinking of Maggie's pic too all day yesterday while I was driving to Tampa and I wanted to look for it today to save it on my computer. Thank you Terry for posting it.

So sorry to hear this. I don't think I met her here on line other than reading posts from her, but it is obvious that she was loved and respected.

Dear Members
The candles on the candle site only burn for 48 hours.
If you wish for a candle to continue burning, you must light another.
There is no limit to how many you can light.
Nona

PS Thanks Terry for posting her picture.

Maggie's Posts were always so caring and helpful, sweet and funny too!, not once did she have an "off" day.......I would like to be more like her. Still can't believe shes gone.....my heart aches for her husband and family...what a huge empty feeling they must have......Im sure she is flying with all her bird friends and knows how much she was loved by all, animal and human.....

Gone, But Never Forgotten

Thank you for the E-MAIL notification, Treesa & Nona.
Blessings to you and yours.
I'll also post on PT my condolences.

How terribly sad to hear that our Lady Tarheel has departed. I've prayed at 3PM (Holy Hour) since Lent (Feb 25,09) for those on my prayer list including my dear Birdie Family PT members. She is a most special lover of God's Beloved Creatures and always a friend and helper to myself and many on the PT site as well as her rehab work at the Wildlife inc.
You will be sorely missed, Lady Tarheel.
You trod with Angels as you were and forever shall be....Greeted by all your Beloved family, friends and pets whom had gone before you....
Pray for us until we Meet again on that Glorious Day when every tear shall be wiped away and all goodbyes will cease.

Let us send our Healing prayers for her family and as welll as the many PT members whom are deeply saddened by her departure, I'm sure.

With deep sorrow, love and Prayers always,
Christin

Maggie was a unique person who felt the rain.... while simple people, like me, just
got wet.
If we each light a candle, she will see how very many loved her.

Christin

Thank you Feather for letting us know what happened. It is a comfort to know that Maggie didn't have to suffer or be afraid.

Christin....I am not a religious person, but I find comfort and truly hope and pray that what what you have posted will happen one day. There is a short list of people that I fervently hope that I will meet when my time comes. Maggie is one of them.

What a wonderful way to honor Maggie's memory, Terry!
You know that all of us will be keeping our fingers crossed awaiting the new arrivals. God Bless you for doing this for her and all of us! Praying for your success!
