Pigeon Feed

I currently live in southern maryland and drive to baltimore which is about 60 miles one way to get my pigeon feed every 2 months or so. Well with the cost of gas and the $1.50 I am charged per back I am trying to find some thing closure. I would appreciate any help. I am just over the bridge in Maryland from king george VA.............

Just an idea but do you have any pigeon clubs in the area that you all could possibly buy food in bulk making the price cheaper. I'm sure you've already done a web search for a closer outlet... just some thoughts.

That would depend on how many birds you are feeding, as shipping costs are very high on 50 lb. bags, depending on how close the supplier is. If you are buying for a few birds, it might be worth to check into.

I would check the local racing club first. Our seed has recently jumped in price again, due to cost of gas, and we are buying from racing club at cost.

I'm not familiar with the east at all so this might be way off. But we got a lot of our feed from Dairies or Farmers. They store it in Silos and we can get it for next to nothing. 56 pounds of wheat is like $6-$7 corn is like $4-$5.
