Pigeons looking for loving home

My mother and I have 4 couples, and 1 single male pigeon who have been living with us for a number of years. The eldest, Bobby, has been with us since 1994. The others joined us in the years after.

My brother, mother, and I collect pigeons who are not feeling well, wounded, or babies and help nurse them to health, if possible, then release them. Some of them are permanently crippled and we could not release them.

Those are these that desperately need a loving home. We are unable to keep them in the apartment any more because the landlord had managed to find out through a handyman, and he has written a letter demanding we get rid of them or he will oust us out.

We love them very much, and want to find them a loving, caring home. I would even like to help pay for their upkeep. It would be nice if they were within traveling distance from the city so we could visit them.
PLEASE WRITE IF YOU CAN HELP - THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH
Hannah

Hi Hannah,

Welcome to pigeons.com. I am sorry that your adoptees have been discovered.

The NY Group of pigeon rescuers is at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PijnPeople and might know more than I do about resources...I am in the UK.

Have you tried the Berkshire Bird of Paradise sanctuary? That is in NY state.

Have you posted on the adoption forum? That is the best place for rehoming. They can probably be shipped to someone with a loft before it gets too hot!

Can you let us know what is happening? There have been so many emergencies recently that this particular post is sinking and getting forgotten!

Cynthia

Have you found anyone to take any of these pigeons? I didn't see you post in the adoption section.

Check your e-mail - i wrote to you.
