toss the egg out..there may be another if this one is not the second egg..if your not sure who her mate is or if the other one is not her true mate, then time will tell if they pair up..or if they are a pair they will start again when they get settled in and know where their nest box is and hopefully use that.. you can let them hatch the eggs at some time in the future..or use fake eggs if you do not want anymore pigeons..which could be the case if you do not have much room. what breed of pigeon are they?

Parent birds will usually not start incubating until there are 2 eggs so sometimes you feel that they are ignoring it. They are not!

If the egg was theirs, then you will see another egg there 24-36 later. Basically the hen just layed her egg there because she haven't got a place to put it--was forced to lay it there. Hopefully this pair of yours will have their own nest box with a nest bowl, but sometimes some pair prefer a floor!
