Seraph vs Seraphim

Hi All,

Thanks to George Simon who was going to do the Breed Of The Week article on Seraphim pigeons, we are now going to be honored by having Anne Ellis who developed this breed do the article! Thank you, George and Anne!

Here is a post I received from Anne, and we should all tuck away this information for our future and hopefully correct use of the term Seraphim.

Terry

Hi Terry,

Nice to hear from you! I was so happy to hear from George about the
opportunity on Pigeon-Talk to post info about Seraphim.

Could you please correct the Breed Of The Week heading and have it
say, 'Seraphim' coming in 2009 by Anne Ellis. It is important that
you omit the 's' on the end of the word. Seraphim is a plural word
like mice. So it is correct to say, "I had one mouse, now I have two
mice AND I had one Seraph, now I have two Seraphim." No one puts an
's' on the end of mice and there should not be an 's' on the end of
Seraphim!

Thank You,

Anne

PS I will call later to learn more about the site, but I paid it a
visit last night and it looks wonderful!

Ok Ed, make sure you remember this, now that you have two SERAPHIM and not a seraph..
