Using Incubator


Is it possible to use a incubat a pigeon egg and the feed'm up to adult size?thanks

Yes it is, but it's not advised. It'd be a lot of time and work on your part, and of course a lot of things could go wrong. Not to mention the crop milk substitutes you buy can't match the nutritional value of the real stuff, so the baby won't grow as fast or big usually. The first days of a pigeon's life is very important crop milk wise, since that's where they get their immune system. Kaytee formula doesn't do as good a job.
But like I said, it is possible.

Becky said it all, it's practically impossible to do and all-around MUCH better for the baby to be raised by the parents. You can start spending time with the baby at around two weeks and can tame them this way. That way you have strong, healthy babies and they can be tame, too.

Been there, done that. Believe me, it's a lot of work. And the babies are much stronger and healthier, with a stronger immune system, when raised by the Mom and Dad. And after all, that's what you want, healthy babies. If you are going to put the babies welfare first, you will let the parents raise them. It's only right. To do otherwise, when you don't have to, would be selfish.
