please helpCAN SOMEONE HELP? THERE IS A NEST OUTSIDE MY WINDOW (APT) WITH 2 BABY PIGEONS. I HAVE SEEN THE MOTHER COME BACK AND FEED, BUT SHE IS NOT OFTEN AT THE NEST AND IT IS SOOOO FREEZING OUTSIDE (NYC). TODAY I LOOKED AND ONE OF THE BABIES IS DEAD IN THE NEST, THE OTHER SHIVERING..NO MOM. SHOULD I HOPE SHE COMES BACK AND JUST LEAVE IT? OR SHOULD I BRING THE ALIVE ON IN. I AM SICK OVER THIS.

Hi Daniel,
I split your post out to a separate thread to make it easier for people to respond to you. Welcome to Pigeon Talk, and thank you so much for your concern for the surviving baby. If you feel the baby is in jeopardy, then definitely bring it in and keep it very warm. If, however, one or both parents have returned to care for it, it will be best to let them continue to raise the baby. I have posted to a NYC based pigeon rescue list asking some local folks to contact you. Please keep us posted here at Pigeon Talk. Terry |
