doves underside raw looking

ok, here is my dilemma. 1) when l lifted the tail of my dove, the bum is bare and looks raw and red. 2) has poop stuck in the feathers and going up the tail, probably because her tail bends and she(l am guessing here) stands on it and 3) why can't she balance on the wood perches in the cage. l put her on it and let go and her tail goes right down and she keeps flapping her wings furiously and doesn't stop until she falls off. she is about 2 months old, is blind in one eye, tried a wooden spoon going across cage last night, with smaller circumference and that didn't work, got her the coiled parrot perch, NOT, hasn't made a peep yet, l keep talking to her in dove language and when l put her on the balcony, she perks right up listening to the other doves talking and lastly 4) will she get all of these things talked about on this site, like cankers, stomach trouble and everything else if she is the only bird in the cage and how big should the cage be for a dove? Thank you all for your help.

Can you post a picture of the bird and a picture of her bottom?

Sounds like she has a severe case of coccidiossis. Sulfamethazine (sulmet) or amprol are cures.

There is a chance it's salmonella (paratyphoid) but I'd go with the cocci as a 95% certainty. It could be circo virus, but since you apparently keep the birds separate I'd go with the cocci as the most likely

poop is not supposed to stick to the bum of an active bird,..something is going on,get on top of this quick,.the above thread is most likely correct,-(coccidia)-.antibiotic-(clavamox)- is required at the correct dosage/per weight-.isolate,(contagious),.sincerely james waller
