That's wonderful Chain! I hope you and the friend will be able to set the wing. You may also be getting an e-mail from a Canadian rehabber who might be able to put you in touch with someone in your area.

Hi again Chain .. I'm really glad things are going well for you and the bird. When you say water bottle, if you mean one of the small animal bottles that hangs on the side of the cage, you'll need to change that for a water bowl. Pigeons drink by sucking water in through their nostrils. The bird wouldn't be able to get enough water from a hanging water bottle.

Please keep us posted.

Day 7

Hey Guys. Its been about a week since i got the pigeon, and hes doing great!
I plan to release him in the spring. His crap is hard and hes been drinking and eating.

Once i get my Digi cam ill show u some pics.

Ps: the only nagative thing is that hes really jumpy in his new cage. I guess he has to get used to being in a house with human contact.

bye for now!

hi, i once took in a baby squirrel that was sick and on the verge of death. i brought him to a close by university to the vetinarian department and they were glad to take him in and have there students fix him up. if you have a nearby university i an sure they would do the same for your pigeon. good luck and keep us informed! oh i just saw he is doing o.k thats great.

Thanks again for taking care of this sweet pij.

I know it's a while yet before you plan to release him, but please make sure his wing has healed to the point that he is able to fly without any problems.

Exactly.

Please continue with the updates, we would enjoy hearing how things are coming along.
Pictures would be great.
