Joy to watch rehabbed P.J. fly away this a.m.

I rescued P.J. a month ago from under a car in my neighborhood. He was bleeding and couldn't fly well; I think my cat had got to him. Thanks to this site I took him in and cared for him according to all the advice. After two weeks I took him to the park and he still couldn't fly.

This morning, 4 1/2 tumultuous weeks of endless snow and 0 degree temps later, it was a beautiful sunny day so we went to the park. He took a few steps out of the carrier, and then off! into the sunny blue sky.

What a great feeling.

Outstanding job!
I'm sure P.J. appreciates every thing you did for him. Maybe you can visit the park every now and then and catch a glimpse of him in all his glory flying free and enjoying his pidgie life thanks to your kind heart.
