Hi everyone,
My sister brought a pigeon to me she found and was about to be kicked by a 9 year old boy, looked like it was dehydrated which it was and terribly thin, weighing in at 226 grams which is way too thin. I have noticed over the past 2 weeks that I have had it the major symptom is getting worse. Right head tilt. She is eating and stretching like a normal
feral pigeon and even started to
wing slap me. The vet has her on baytril because of poopies, which have cleared up and she is getting a little fatter; but the head tilt is getting worse and you could consider her a exorcist bird on how she turns her head.
Where do the birds get this from, can it be treated, if so with what, or would it be cruel to have her put to sleep as this is tearing at my heart strings?
