It can live many years.

My oldest PMV survivors are at least 9 years old and still going strong!

Some make a full recovery, though occasionally that can take a long time. Some make a good recovery but show nervous symptoms under stress. Some make a recovery but relapse after some time (1 - 7 years). Some retain the nervous symptoms...these are the minority.

I have three birds that are showing signs of pmv. One lookes trrible and the other two are very different symptoms. One does the classice head bob and runs in circles, and the other seems to have a lame wing. I have treated my whole flock and many are acting very nomral again. Like cooing and mateing. Others are still quiet andhang around the ground. All are eating and dringking. Grooming and the quiet mornings were the things I noticed first. What signs should I look for first?

When you say you have treated your flock, do you mean you've vaccinated those who were still looking well?

Problem with PMV is that, because it is a virus, there is no treatment in the medical sense, just isolating any that may be sick and giving them supportive care, making sure they get enough food (sometimes by hand feeding) and water.

You can vaccinate the birds that aren't showing neurological symptoms, which should head off neuro problems. All you can do for the birds showing symptoms is to give them supportive care.
