PMV symptoms with injury

Found a pigeon here in LA 2 days ago that had been hit by a car. It's home now in a box with a home made nest. She eats and drinks when I do it by hand but exhibits the signs of PMV. Since she's skinned up pretty bad on her left side I'm guessing cervical injury. She didn't have her head turned upside down and around when I found her but took that position sometime during the first night.
There are no agencies in LA that care about a simple pigeon in this shape. I've been to that rodeo before and so far have rescued 2 other pigeons and I plan to do the same for this one unless the bird is incapable of leading any kind of happy life.
Advice is greatly, GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks, jess

I know that some could argue that the head turning is a result of the accident, but I think that yor guess is correct and that it is PMV. Our last 4 PMV pigeons had no symptoms at first other than the fact that they could or would not fly and when observed closely had the tinniest tremor of head and eyes. Our most recent one tried to walk across a dual carriageway and half way across decided to just give up and lie down. Fortunately she wasn't hit, but I think many PMV pigeons are victims of traffic accidents.

As for quality of life, I don't think I have ever seen a pigeon feel sorry for itself. They always enjoy life and most will recover enough to live a normal life although some will continue to exhibit nervous symptoms.

Although we didn't realise it in the past,Bernie, the pigeon in this delightful story was suffering from PMV.

I have a number of PMV survivors in my aviary and they are very active birds.

THis is the link to our webpage on PMV http://www.pigeon-aid.pigeon.net/pmv.htm
