Rolling Baby

I am posting for a friend, says she has a baby that just keeps rolling. I believe it is just a few weeks old. I havent heard of it b4. I had one that just would roll foward when trying to walk, but had jumped out of a pretty tall nest, thought it was maybe some sort of brain or nerve damage. Not sure what might be wrong with hers, or what the signs of PMV in a baby are. If it is PMV would the ACV water treatment help? She was told it was contageous and to kill by another pigeon fancier, but not told what they thought it was. Please help if you can! Thanks!

Hello Amber,
Please ask your friend to isolate the baby. Place him in a small box, carrier, etc along with a towel lined heating pad set on low.

I'm just about to leave for an appointment. Hopefully others will be along soon. I would strongly suggest, that a 'snap judge' decision not be made to have this baby destroyed. We need to find out exactly what is going on. If this is PMV, there is a very good chance it can maintain a normal life.

Please keep us posted.

Cindy

How is the baby doing today Amber?
Is he eating & drinking on his own? Has he displayed any other unusual behavior. If we could get a bit more information about what is going on, that would be great.

is their any treatment we should start?
For right now, I would suggest that he be kept warm & palced in a quiet area, away from human & animal traffic. Make sure he is eating, drinking, & 'pooping' normally.
Watch for any unusual behavior & please give us an update when you receive one.

Many thanks,
Cindy
