Two week old needs help

I rescued a day old wild squeaker and have been feeding her since. She's been growing well until about three nights ago when the electricity went out, her heating pad turned off and she got cold. Since then she has slowed down on her eating and today she has refused food (ZooPreem baby bird formula). Her digestive tract has all but stopped and she sounds like she has a cold when she breathes, as though she has mucous in her sinus. What do I do to save her?

She's a loving little girl and I don't want to lose her, please help.

Chris

By two weeks they should not need a heat pad. Have you checked her mouth for canker? That will often affect the breathing and it is a major cause of slow crop. She will need treatment with Carnidazole (Spartrix) or Metronidazole (Flagyl).

Kaytee suggest that if a squeaker's digestion slows down you should increase the ambient temperature and feed infant apple sauce. If the crop is not more than half full you could give her warm water with a tiny pinch of baking soda .

Chris, You need to take her to an avian vet and get her some antibiotics. Is she warm now?

Hi Chris.......Renee here
I didn't know that she had stopped eating. You didn't tell me that part in the email. Anyway, these folks on here will help you out. I think you've got a different problem than my baby in the video.
