I know that pigeons "go light" for many reasons but just yesterday I read about someone who had this problem with his birds until he started worming regularly.

But if you worm make certain that you get the dose right!

Hi, There Are Many Diseases That Can Cause A Pigeon To Go Light, The Most Common Or Worms, Canker And Parathyphoid. The First Thing To Do Is To Seperate It From Your Other Birds.do Any Other Pigeons Have Other Symptoms? Also Check The Bird Going Light And See If Any Of His Wing Or Leg Joints Are Swollen. Also Open His Mouth And Check And See If There Are Any Cheesy Deposits. This Would Be Caused By Canker Which Would Not Alow Him To Swallow Food.when I Have One Going Light I Usually Treat It With A Wormer, Sulfer Drug, Canker Powder And An Antibiotic In The Water To Cover All Possibilities. Keep Us In Formed.

Birdboy, I noticed you had a couple of posts with sick birds. It is really difficult to determine the cause of your problems from simply reading your posts. Are there any experienced flyers in your area, that would take a look at your birds and loft? Simply throwing antibiotics at symptoms is a popular way of dealing with sickness, without addressing the causes. Commercial sellers of all kinds of potions would disagree with this, since they want to sell their goods.
I would suggest that starting to give all kinds of different antibotics without a proper diagnosis can cause more harm and be a waste of money.
