New scam

[Perfect Drift]

Just wanted to post a warning about a new scam that is being used out of Texas.
An item was posted for sale on a local fishing discussion board.
This is via email.
Scam scum replies,-I'll take it, how much is the shipping?
Seller- I'm not sure
Ss- How about I sent you extra money and you just return the extra with the item.
Seller- OK, that'll work
Several days pass and the cashiers check arrives.
Seller- deposites it into his bank and sends off the item and the extra money.
Well several days later, low and behold the bank calls and says the cashiers check was no good, it was a fake.
He looses the cost of shipping, the extra money and the item he was selling.
Sellers be careful !

The one time I bought something "over the internet"(quotes cos I went to the seller's house lol), I went to his house and it was pretty simple.. but thanks for posting this, m sure it will benefit sum unsuspecting seller lol
