Release

Are any of u Fanciers Nice people that don't take the lives from precious pigeon away? When u need 2 get rid of a pigeon, and nobody wants it, do u release it? I hope u do, and don't end the birds life, Darn people, I can't believe there are people out there that are that cruel. I believe It is better 4 the wild population of Ferals to, I think it benefits there genes, (Don't kno, that's just my modest opinion.) Because I have noticed the size of Feral pigeons, they seem more robust, large, and healthier looking. I believe the Ferals have crossed with the lost Racing Homers.

Do you have a pigeon you don't want any longer?

I think RussianRoller is just saying that s/he feels it is better to release unwanted birds rather than lethally cull them and has given his/her reasons for thinking/feeling this way.

I have my own views on the subject as I am sure all of us do.

I don't condone "dumping" birds to fend for themselves nor do I condone lethal culling. This is a very difficult subject, so let's all be real careful and well thought out about what we say on this topic.

RussianRoller,

If you are placing your birds up for adoption, why not place a post in the Adoption section and just give more backgound on them, age, outdoor loft birds? Any of them mated? You know the kind of info folks are interested in and I would also include their pictures, that's always a plus.
