Russian tumblers or more Show type then flying pigeons. This breed isn't Russian but Prussian. Sigmund Siliwoski is undoubtedly responsible for this term "Russian Tumbler". Up until the early 70's, they were always known as East Prussian Tumblers or East Prussian Rollers. Then, when Siliwoski came on the scene, in 1973 or 1974, he began to promote them as "Russian Tumblers" and ran a monthly ad in the American Pigeon Journal for them. Of course, people thought Siliwoski was Russian and really knew what he was talking about, when in fact he was the son of Polish immigrants who had never been to Russia!
