Erik,
You need to use caution in brokering other peoples birds, it is not a responsibility that I would want to take myself. I was able to find out that you have offered to broker any other birds for a minimal fee, but again you need to use caution in venturing into such a trade, you and or probably your parents because you are a minor could find yourself in a unfortunate predicament. Most people that are paying for a bird and the additional $40 for shipping and carrier to ship in are expecting to have a bird that is worth at least that in the value, you could end up finding out that people may not care for what they have paid for and expect you to make good on the deal, without a written contract between you and the breeder that the breeder will be held liable for such a case you could be held liable as the broker and you could also get into some Federal guide lines with such a venture and using the U.S.A. Postal service, plus the health factors and your experience would also be another issue you should look into, the last thing you want to do is be the middle person and have a pigeon shipped to another loft not knowing it's health condition and be responsible for the buyers loft of pigeons. Normally the sell takes place between the seller and buyer and liability lay's between them, the auction sites like www.ipigeon.com also have policy's in place for reimbursement should the deal not be good. Well anyway I just really felt like a warning of what you are venturing into should be suggested, please consider my suggestions, and when dealing with other's birds, please make sure the birds have all been vacinated and are healthy etc. Ellen |
