I always have people looking to buy whites...

Could you please answer a few questions for me?

1. Where are you located?
2. How much are you asking?
3. How old are the birds?
4. Are they mated pairs? (are you selling them as pairs, or just individually?
5. Have you raced these birds at all, or flown them out for training? (to what distance?)

thanks!

Sure....no problem. Right now I am building my loft so I am not very interested in selling my mated pairs, but I will pair up a male and female. They are White Grooters mixed with Stichelbaut bred for speed and intelligence. They are out of the birds used in Disneys shows in Fla. For the most part, youngsters are what I have available. They are 2003 birds. I have a few up to 18 mos. These specifically have not been raced. If anyone is looking for ones that have please let me know, I have a friend who is looking to downsize his loft and races his. As for prices 60.00 a youngster 100.00 a pair, and if you would like several, I could go down on the price some more. I am located in Branson, Mo. I fly about 50 pigeons in a show. I have a picture that I can send if anyone is truly interested.

By the way, I dont know if you remember back about 3 mos ago when I was asking advice about training to fly to the hand. I have successfully trained 3 older pigeons who were trained to fly to a box in the ceiling to fly to my hand..It's amazing...they are very smart, They fly to my hand, while I am suspended from the ceiling (I am an angel in our nativity scene)from 150ft, in a darkened arena, with wind, fog, cables, camels, donkeys, goats, sheep, and people. It's great to see what they are really capable of, and when they have a goal how determined they are and not easily distracted, now I know why disney uses these guys. So many people told me it was impossible and tha it couldnt be done, especially with an older bird and in only 3 weeks. Ha Ha! Anyway, hope the above info was helpful. Let me know if I can help in any other way. Thanks!

Amber,

That sounds like a great show. I wish I could see it. Do you have pictures to share?

Hey Julie, Yeah it is a great show...I love working there. Other than the pigeons, I sing, dance, ride horses, trick ride, and I also ride Ostriches...lol...they call me bird girl..Always fighting for the birds...anyway, I do have one pic on my homepage, It is of Clay (clay pigeon..lol...I didnt name him but people love it) and I in the dressing room. In the paper photo of it, there is sort of a white haze that goes acroos the bottom of my face....everyone calls it my pigeon aura...lol. I warning you its kinda big, and I am not sure about the face I was making, but everyone says Clay and I look alike.:-). I am gonna go in today and take some pics and can post those later. I have a white show roller that I trained to do this named Austin ( he came with female who died, I named her Foxy, from Foxy Cleopatra..Austin Powers) and then my phsychotic bird who loves to fly to me but hates me to hold him, so he grunts and wing slaps the whole time, he flys to the angel also, I named him Ozzy.lol I will post those in the general section though. I couldnt figure out how to post a pic on here, so I made a homepage. If anyone can tell me how I would appreciate it. You guys would not believe it but I have got reporters coming to interview me about Clay, when they came to interveiw the ice skaters, they started asking about the pigeon that flys to the angel. The word is out..lol..I had an interview on Friday, and a photo shoot yesterday, its awesome, who woulda thought? Out of 20 riders, 32 horses, camels, goats, sheep, donkeys, and Ostriches, and they are calling Clay the star of the show. The applause everytime he flys to me is so loud and it makes me wanna cry, I am so proud of him. Well I am off to the loft talk to yall soon!

Let us know when the article gets published so we can read it.

My parents like to go to Branson for the shows. What's the name of your show or what is the name of the place where you do your show. I'd like to have them see it the next time they are there.

Thanks for letting me know about the birds Amber, and for the update about your 'show' training!

You must have an amazing amount of patience -- and yes, the fact that our birds are so smart does help, doesn't it?

Fabulous job, congratulations!
