Ice in the Bird-Bowls, Skip-to-MalooWalked out around Noon-thirty to do the fast scrub and re-fill of the outside Bird's several Water Bowls, and, each one had an honest inch of Ice in it, and the Pigeons were sort of standing around looking perplexed, since the Ice prevented them from drinking, even though liquid Water of course was under the Ice...
Anyway, got all that emptied out and filled with nice Water, and they were happy, drinking and Bathing and Sunning themselves and so on... I am, surprised there has been no Ice in here yet..! It has sure FELT cold enough some Nites... Love, Phil l v |

Phil, I had to chuckle. I have not heard the skip-to-malou in a long, long time.
We have had ice in our birdbaths almost every day this week. It was so bad Tuesday that Lewis had a heck of a time chipping it out. Our crows wait patiently for him to finish and, even though it is so cold out, they jump in and start bathing.
