Soldiers' Remains

I had this sent to me in an e-mail today. It is pretty self-explanatory and very sad. I didn't know this was going on.

There is a very short commercial at the beginning of the video.

It's very sad and I thought Oregon was more progessive than all that!

Makes me SICK. Typical government tactic to forget those who gave their lives so we all can be free. I have carried home, plane load after plane load of our fallen soldiers and then to see what happens when they come home, I can't stand it. SICK

Charis,

I don't think it is Oregon. It is the Federal Government that has allowed this to occur. Whoever makes the decisions in the Oregon area has not been doing their job for quite some time since there are so many in Oregon. But it seems to be a nationwide problem from what was said on the newscast.

I wonder how many of those service members were homeless.. Don't forget, many are abandoned by the government long before they die.

That brought me to tears. You put your heart and soul into serving this country and that is the thanks you get. That really ticks me off!

Unhappy

So, so sad, these people who unselfishly gave up their life's so we could be free should NOT be treated this way, my heart is heavy with sadness. I will be praying that all of those lost hero's will get their day of honor that they deserve.
Thank you Lady T for posting this.

Well, it really bothered me a lot. I had three brothers who served in the armed forces, the oldest in the Pacific during WWII, and it would have upset me tremendously to know his remains were not properly cared for. Thank goodness he came home, safe and sound.

I can remember, as a child, a neighbor's son was killed in WWII and his remains took a long time getting back to the US. When he returned, there were only his bones for his mother to grieve over. But, it helped her to have even those bones to bury and cry over.

I am going to contact a reporter for our local paper to see if they may do a story on whether we have any locally.
