Brought Baby Pigeon Home

HI, this is pigeonkeeper!! I brought my baby pigeon home because it doesn't seem healthy!! it's a month old cause it was hatched in june 7 and it's about a month old and it doesn't have a lot of feathers yet!! i don't think it's getting the right nutrients!! the part were it doesn't have a lot of feathers is under it's wings. it also doesn't have feathers on it's neck but not as bad as under it's wings!! when i was visiting it, i put it by my owl pigeons and they were pecking it so that's why i decided to bring it home!! also, it doesn't want to come out of it's nest!! it seems a little skinny but it's been eating and drinking. it's also not chirping as much as when it was back over there. i think it's just adjusting to the new environment but yea. also, do you think the parents will miss it!! it seems like the parents don't really care for it anymore!! they don't feed him a lot too!! but i think it's good i brought him home!!

Hi Pigeonkeeper!

It's normal for a month old youngster not to have all the feathering under the wings and also normal for the parents not to be paying a whole lot of attention to the little one. Keep a close eye and make sure that the young bird continues to eat and drink properly and that the poops look good.
